In this chapter, we discussed how to troubleshoot, find, and fix a variety of problems related to extra or unusual spacing found within a Word document. These spaces could be anything related to the horizontal space such as the space between letters or characters and the space between words or lines. Additionally, we discussed vertical spacing issues related to lines or sentences, paragraphs, and pagination.

When troubleshooting spacing problems, don't forget to check and be sure that a particular style is not at the root of your problems. Removing, clearing, or updating a style will save you more time in the long run, if a style is the root cause of any spacing issues.
