Starting from a template

If you are pressed for time and the style and branding of your document don't matter, starting from a Microsoft template is a great way to begin. A template comes pre-formatted with a variety of elements: text, styles, page formatting, and even graphical elements, such as textboxes, sidebars, and pictures. You might even find placeholders. A lot of these time-consuming style and formatting choices have already been created for you. All you have to do is download the template and create a new document based on that template. In fact, you can make as many documents from that template as you like. The hardest part is finding the best template that suits your needs.
