Exploring Power Apps

Power Apps is the user experience platform that allows everyone to build low-code/no-code applications quickly and with very little experience. With Power Apps, you have containers that handle layouts and the flow of controls on the screen while running the application on different devices with different form factors. Power Apps provides you with an app-building experience in the maker experience portal, which can be found at https://make.powerapps.com.

With Microsoft Dataverse for Teams, this maker experience (a studio or visual editor where you make or create new apps) is now embedded within the Microsoft Teams application. The benefit of Microsoft Dataverse for Teams is that you don't need additional licenses, outside of the Teams or Office 365 licenses, to run these applications. To use these applications as standalone applications outside of Teams, in a browser, for example, users are expected to have additional Power Apps licenses.
