Preparing your Slack app for submission

Let's start with a refresher course. As we learned in Chapter 7, Integrating Your Favorite Tools, the Slack App Directory is a hub for all of the existing apps available for public use within the Slack platform. The directory has over 2,000 applications for you to browse, buy, and test out by integrating into your workspace.

Apps can range from functional to just plain fun and each has a different means of assisting the efficiency and enjoyability of communication in your channels. The Slack App Directory looks as in the following screenshot on your desktop browser:
