Creating a Slack workspace

Upon identifying the workspace primary owner (probably the individual holding this book right now), it is time to create your workspace with ease through Slack's website.

Head to slack.com/create to find the workspace creation funnel. Then, perform these steps:

Enter your email address and the confirmation code that will be sent to you. Remember to use the business email address that you want associated with the Slack account!

Name your workspace. This should reflect the workspace's purpose; more often than not, it is named after the company name.

Create a new channel for your workspace. You will have the chance to create channels on-demand after setting the workspace up, so don't fret if you haven't thought of all the channels you need at this point.

Add your team members' emails if you are ready. If not, you can invite them on an ongoing basis after creating the workspace.
