SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC)

SAC is a SaaS offering for analytics that combines capabilities such as BI, enterprise planning, and predictive analytics into one product. SAC is the analytics layer and provides a consistent experience for all SAP applications through embedded analytics and enterprise analytics use cases.

Connectivity

SAC can access data from cloud data sources or on-premise systems by providing two types of connectivity, online live connections, and batch-based data acquisitions. Live connections allow you to build stories and perform analytics with live data without any data replication. In data acquisitions, data is imported into SAC and its underlying HANA database first.
