Chapter 11: Logistics Execution in SAP LES

Once the freight order is planned, a carrier assigned, and the tendering process has been executed, the next step in the order to cash cycle is to initiate Logistics Execution (LE). LE is processed in the warehouse where the goods are picked, packed, and shipped out to deliver to the customer. We covered ERP delivery creation in Chapter 9, Transportation Requirements in SAP TMS, where we saw that the delivery proposal is sent to SAP ERP from the SAP TMS system. This delivery proposal can be automated via a batch job or you can manually trigger the delivery from the freight order. The delivery proposal groups the items together that need to go in a specific delivery.
