I often get the question, “How come Stora Enso has been so successful in the progress of your digital transformation journey?” It is a question that is not so easy to answer, and I do not think there is a silver bullet available. Transformation and change are challenging for organizations since they usually impact the company’s individuals. This generates resistance to change and is a killer for creating and running an innovative organization. However, there are ways to address this situation: having an open and transparent agenda around sustainable digital transformation. By fostering a transparent and open environment, inclusiveness and participation are created.
