Any marketing campaign worth its salt is based on a ton of data and analytics. Analytics is based on the action of analysis, which, as defined by Merriam Webster, means a detailed examination of anything complex in order to understand its nature or to determine its essential features.
Essentially, that means the marketer takes all the data and insights and applies those to the different pieces of the campaign, and works to maximize and optimize it for the best effect.
