Summary

In this chapter, we learned about Dynamics 365 upgrade and data migration options. We discussed different paths that can be used to upgrade to Dynamics 365 CE and we also discussed different activities that we need to perform during an upgrade. We discussed which tools can help us to upgrade our solution and code to Dynamics 365 CE. Later, we also discussed options available to migrate our historical data to Dynamics 365 CE. We discussed how we can use the Dynamics 365 CE import wizard and the SSIS Integration Toolkit to import data into Dynamics 365 CE.

In the next chapter, we are going to discuss deployment and go-live support. We will discuss how to prepare a go-live checklist and the configuration that is required before we go live.
