Customizing the shop template

The shop or store in WooCommerce is the primary location for listing products. The built-in shop's page design displays products with filtering in a basic grid layout. The quality and user-friendliness on the shop's page are deciding factors in increasing product sales. Due to this, we see many shop pages with custom designs and components. Product sliders, special offers, top-rated products, and advanced product search are some of the commonly seen components in customized shop pages.

WooCommerce allows us to modify the existing design and components by overriding the default template, as well as implementing built-in action hooks.

In this recipe, we are going to modify the existing shop page by changing existing components and adding new components, without losing the changes of WooCommerce version upgrades.
