Summary

In this chapter, we showed several examples of how innovation can drive cloud adoption. We discussed how new technologies such as containers, database technologies, cognitive services, and analytics can drive the move to cloud. The key that drives cloud adoption, however, is enabling a desired business outcome. Creating those business outcomes requires an approach to application development that fosters innovation at all levels. In the next chapter, we talk about the role of methodology in cloud adoption and how the IBM Cloud Garage Method can provide an innovation-fostering approach.
