Configuring Horizon View Persona Management's advanced options

Horizon View Persona Management's ViewPM.adm group policy template contains settings that are arranged in the following four categories:

  • Roaming and Synchronization
  • Folder redirection
  • Desktop UI
  • Logging

The purpose and usage of each of these settings will be explained in this recipe.

Getting ready

The settings reviewed in this recipe are used to further customize the Horizon View Persona Management feature. While the previous recipe focused only on those settings that were explicitly required to enable Persona Management, this recipe covers all options, such as Persona folder redirection, Advanced Persona synchronization and roaming options, notification preferences, and logging settings.

Understanding the full capabilities of the Horizon View Persona Management feature is important to any deployment, as the default settings might not be optimal in all cases. Consider the following examples:
