Monitoring the Horizon View infrastructure using V4V


This recipe will review the steps that are required to use V4V to review monitoring data related to the Horizon View infrastructure.

Getting ready

Once all the individual components of V4V have been deployed and configured, we can use V4V to monitor the Horizon View infrastructure.

The exercises used in this recipe will be performed using the V4V console located at https://UI_IP_or_FQDN/VCOPS-custom. Log in using the V4V admin account. Replace UI_IP_or_FQDN with either the IP address or the FQDN of the V4V UI VM. This recipe assumes that you have the knowledge of how to navigate the V4V console using the information provided in the previous recipe.

How to do it

In this section, we will review how to monitor the Horizon View infrastructure using the V4V platform:

  1. Select the View Infrastructure tab to view information about the VIEW INFRASTRUCTURE HOSTS (vSphere servers), VIEW VDI DESKTOP VMS, VIEW DATASTORES, and VIEW RDS HOSTS (VIEW 6) windows...
