Using project management for a systematic approach to establish a compliance program is the first important aspect to be considered for a successful implementation. Many companies already have processes for project management; defined documents to use for the initiation or proposal of a project; and documents for project plans, budgets, resources, and time plans. In addition to the processes, they also have documents on how to deal with reviews on overspending, delays, and so on. If not, there are many great books on project management that will help you with these issues. This book will not go into more details on project management. Instead, it will focus on the aspects that are most important for a successful compliance project.
