Using the Hyper-V Administrators group


Beginning with the 2012 series of servers, Hyper-V Server or any Windows Server with the Hyper-V role enabled will have an automatically created local security group named "Hyper-V Administrators." The purpose of this account is to allow you to assign the capability to manage Hyper-V and its virtual machines without opening the floodgates all the way to allow complete control over the host.

Using Group Policy to control Hyper-V Administrators
