Receiver™ for HTML5
Receiver for HTML5 offers users access to virtual desktops and apps provided by XenDesktop and XenApp, using only a standard web browser. It's bundled with StoreFront and does not require a separate installation on the user's device.
The latest versions of Receiver for HTML5 support the use of WebSockets, a technology that allows a full-duplex communication using only a single TCP socket. The use of WebSockets can optimize the network bandwidth usage, thus reducing the overhead required to open multiple HTTP connections between the browser and StoreFront server.
By default, WebSocket connections are prohibited; three policy settings are available to configure this feature:
WebSockets connections: This is used to enable/disable WebSockets
WebSockets port number: This is used to configure the port for incoming connections (by default, 8008)
