In this chapter, we went through the key components that are needed for a HA Proxmox cluster. We used a stored storage to save data for a VM, a reliable dedicated/isolated network to allow data communication between the VM server, nodes, and storage. Also, we learned that we can use fencing devices as the data protection point if there are any failures. Different filesystems were introduced with explanations of their characteristics.
In the next chapter, we will demonstrate how to build a HA cluster with Proxmox with a practical configuration, and most of the concepts learned in this chapter will be used.
