Installing the View security server


On the server that you are going to use as the security server, which is nondomain-joined, locate the installation software you downloaded previously into the shared network folder and launch the VMware-viewconnectionserver-x86_64-6.0.0-1884746 installation file. This is the same file we used to install the first connection server.

As the installation process is almost identical to that of the connection server, rather than showing every screenshot again, we will describe the process and show the screenshots where it is different.

Note

If you are connecting to the shared folder, you will need to enter your credentials to access it. This is because the security server is not joined to the domain. It is important that you don't join this server to the domain.

Again, note that the number at the end of the filename is the build number, and it might be different depending on the build or version of Horizon View you are installing.
