Active Directory prerequisites
The behavior of a virtual desktop machine is governed by an Active Directory policy. The policy configures things such as graphics experience and cut and paste options, to name a few.
To make life easier, the templates for these policies have already been created and can be found in Horizon View GPO Bundle, which we downloaded and saved to the shared folder in Chapter 4, Installing Horizon View 6.0.
If you unzip this file, you will see that it contains 12 Administrative Templates (ADM). We will add these in the Importing and applying the Horizon View ADM templates section of this chapter.
In the next sections, we will cover how to install these templates and create the Active Directory requirements for Horizon View.
