In the beginning of this chapter, we explored the basic function and capabilities of gateways and networks. In this section, we will be looking at some of the core network services that are provided by gateways, and see how these services can be leveraged in different scenarios.
There are two ways to go about managing gateways: You can perform the basic functions well using the vCloud Air console, but when it comes to the networking services, you should manage the gateways using the VMware vCloud Director interface. Let's quickly see how to manage and work with the gateway using VMware vCloud Director's console.
From the main dashboard, select your Virtual Datacenter. Next, from the Gateways tab, select the Manage in vCloud Director option as shown here:
