Summary
In this chapter, we have seen how to connect your virtual machines to the Internet securely using the firewall and NAT rules. We also learned the uses of gateways and networks, and how you can leverage them in your own VDCs. Last but not the least, we explored some of the useful networking services provided by vCloud Air, such as DHCP, NAT, firewall, and load balancing. We also covered a few useful best practices and tips that you should keep in mind when working with networks on vCloud Air.
In the next chapter, we will be going a step further with vCloud Air, and exploring some of the different ways in which you can extend your vCloud Air environment with other public and private clouds.
