Best practices and tips

Make sure to set and open only the required firewall rules when working with VPNs. Follow this guide to setup a IPSEC VPN tunnel between vCloud Air and an on-premise environment securely—VMware KB article: 2051370.
The vShield Edge Gateway must be configured to deny any unauthorized traffic to ensure that the remote site is fully secure.
Make sure the vCloud Connector user has sufficient privileges to perform additional operations for the clouds. Ideally, use an organization administrator or a system administrator role for these activities.
Ensure that the SSL certificates are present and valid before you copy/migrate any workload to and from the vCloud Connector in the production use.
Monitor migration tasks at all times. Task information is available in the user interface for a period of 48 hours.
