Performing the initial configuration of NetScaler®


In this section, I will be taking you through the steps on how to configure the NetScaler VPX on Citrix XenServer. In this chapter, we will cover the following topics:

  • Installing the NetScaler appliance on XenServer

  • Configuring the networking address on NetScaler

  • Using NSIP to configure Subnet IP, Hostname, DNS, Time zone, and licensing

  • Installing a license on Licenses

Installing the NetScaler® appliance on XenServer®

In this book, we will be using the latest version of NetScaler, which is 11.0. You can download the same from http://www.mycitrix.com from the Downloads section, making sure you choose the correct version based on the Hypervisor you will be using. The steps are almost the same in the case of VMware ESX and Hyper-V. Follow these steps:
