Chapter 7. Troubleshooting

OpenStack exposes different components and services that communicate between each other. Installing and running an OpenStack cluster can be an error-prone process and one or several services might fail to start. We have seen in Chapter 1, The Essence of Big Data in the Cloud the integration of the Sahara project into the OpenStack ecosystem. Sahara depends directly on many OpenStack services to run properly and generate the expected results. Additionally, it was concluded that Sahara communicates with other OpenStack services by means of APIs including compute, image, storage, orchestration, and network services. With this in mind, it might be crucial to take a look at some details and highlight how things run under the hood.
