Case study on AWS integration services

The following use case is a hypothetical case study that highlights how the usage of AWS integration services can help focus on innovation and develop with agility.

Business case/challenge

A New York based company shares hotel reviews across the globe. The reviews typically include information on amenities, services, and overall quality. The company published more than 1 million high-quality digital images, but the volume brought in operational overhead for the company to handle. They had to offload the content to a central repository on Amazon S3. S3 was an economical solution and the company had to rearchitect its application in order to be able to recreate images that would fit mobile and tablet devices. Typically, the reprocessing would take about 800 hours to complete using in-house solutions, which did not scale, along with the fact that the software had numerous bugs.
