Exercises

  • Prerequisites: The exercises in this chapter have a dependency on Chapter 8, Implement Infrastructure and Configuration as Code. Please complete the exercises mentioned in that chapter so that you have provisioned the necessary resources in Azure to continue with the build deployment-related pipeline creation.
  • Dependency: Please ensure that a Service connections record has been created for the PacktBookLibrary project. This will be used as a service account for deploying resources and builds to Azure:
    • Navigate to Project Settings | Service connections (under Pipelines) and then click on the New Service Connection button.
    • Within the New service connection dialog, ensure that the Azure Resource Manager option is selected and then, in the next step, that Service Principal (automatic) is selected.
    • Keep scope as Subscription and specify the Service connection name as Azure Service Connection.
    • Under Security, check the option to grant access to all pipelines.
