Mobile apps’ most valuable features

There are numerous valuable features included in mobile apps that cater to the diverse needs and preferences of users. Some of the most useful features are described next.

Large screens and foldable devices

In order to make your app work well on a larger screen and foldable devices, you’ll need to make sure it’s optimized to work on different screen sizes. This might mean redesigning your layout to make the most of the extra screen space or setting your app to work on both portrait and landscape screens.

Foldables offer new ways for users to interact with their devices, such as being able to use them in folded or unfolded modes. As shown in Figure 2.14, when a foldable device is folded, it can affect the way your app is displayed and used. Make sure you consider this when designing your app, and test to ensure it works smoothly when the device is folded and unfolded:
