Introduction


When it comes to delivering an actual service, close cooperation between different products is important, as they are the pillars the service is built up from. A modern datacenter is a frequently used term by Microsoft, but what is more important is the three pillars that define the modern datacenter:

  • Highly automated

  • Highly resilient

  • Able to deliver well-structured services

Being able to provide a highly automated concept for your Baas, RaaS, or DRaaS service is critical. What is most important is that there are no guidelines for how this should or could be automated. The best advice you can get is to start small and then expand the automation experience.

For a modern datacenter to adapt and adjust the resources it can provide to the services, it must be resilient. If a number of servers are just in standby, the datacenter should be able to scale its resources in order to meet the current demands for the level of resources needed to be allocated.
