It is possible to configure a virtual machine to override the host monitoring and VM monitoring settings. The settings are overridden by creating VM overrides.

The following procedure explains how to configure VM(s) to override HA cluster settings:
From the vCenter's Home inventory, navigate to the Hosts and Clusters view.
Select the cluster and navigate to Manage | Settings | VM Overrides.
On the VM Overrides page, click on the Add button to bring up the Add VM Overrides window as demonstrated in the following screenshot:
In the Add VM Overrides window, click on the green + icon to bring up the Select a VM window:
In the Select a VM window, select a virtual machine and click on OK:
With the VM now added to the Add VM Overrides window, modify the settings for the selected VM...
