In this chapter, you learned how to connect Azure Virtual Machines in virtual networks and look for differences between the Service Manager mode and Resource Manager mode. Virtual networks are a requirement for the ARM mode VMs, so we need to understand Azure networking basics.
You also learned how to interconnect two different virtual networks in two deployment models to make use of all the current opportunities given by the two deployment models and the power of a complex, distributed, and public network.
You then understood how we can manage our IaaS assets with Azure Operational Insights and understood some of the IT pro skills that a developer needs to know when approaching Azure IaaS.
In the next chapter, we will jump into the Platform as a Service world. You will learn how to take advantage of different Azure services, and develop and deploy a frontend web application.
