Setting up a replication job


Replica jobs are set up in much the same manner as backup jobs and like just about everything else in Veeam Backup & Replication, it is wizard driven.

The following steps outline how to set up a replication job:

  1. Launch the Replication Job wizard by clicking Replication. This brings up the New Replication Job window where you will need to fill out the initial details about the job.

  2. As usual, provide the job with a name and description. Beneath Describe your DR site, there are some fields that have significant impact on how the replica job behaves.

    The Low connection bandwidth (enable replica seeding) option enables you to use a previous backup of the VM you want to start replicating, as an initial starting point. This helps with minimizing the traffic generated by initial replication job, and only subsequent changes made to the VM in the production site will be replicated over the wire.
