In this chapter, we looked at how we can create a new Windows-based virtual machine in Microsoft Azure. We looked at how we can connect to and work on the virtual machine and how we can control the virtual machine using PowerShell. Finally, we completed the chapter by converting an existing server and making it an Azure-based virtual machine.

In the next chapter, we will take a look at how we can create a Linux-based virtual machine on Microsoft's Azure cloud.
