This section has some useful tips to make the management of Microsoft Azure a bit easier.
Virtual machines running on Microsoft Azure do not have a possibility for console access. Console access can become handy when the guest operating system does not have network connectivity. Without network connectivity, an Azure virtual machine cannot be accessed over RDP so cannot be managed either.
Loss of network connectivity can occur when an administrator makes a mistake in the networking configuration. Someone might have filled in the wrong IP address, for example.
So how do we regain access to this virtual machine if there is no network connectivity? There are two options. The most efficient one is to adjust the size of the virtual machine.
The procedure is as follows:
Stop the virtual machine using the Azure Management Portal.
Select the configure menu item.
Change the virtual machine size and click on Save.
Restart the virtual machine...
