In this chapter, we downloaded and installed the different Horizon View components and configured the environment and made it ready in order to start preparing it for virtual desktop machines. We also looked at installing certificates and some tips on setting up both production and proof of concept environments.

In the next chapter, we are going to take a guided tour of View Administrator so that we become familiar with the web-based console, and when we move into the more-detailed configuration, you know where to find the various tasks and menu options.
