Summary


In this chapter, we took a rather deep dive into how filesystems are mounted, how NFS is configured and what to do in case of filesystems going into the Read-Only mode. We even took that a step further and manually repaired a filesystem where the physical disk device was having issues.

In the next chapter, we will take this same issue further by troubleshooting hardware failures. This means looking at logs for hardware messages, troubleshooting hard drive RAID sets, and many other hardware-related troubleshooting steps.
