In this chapter, you learned about process management. We studied the various stages in a process, process priorities, and background and foreground jobs. We discussed many commands associated with a process, such as ps, top, fg, bg, jobs, and more. We also discussed how to change the process priorities with their nice values, both at start of the job and also while the job is running.
