Recommendations dashboard


When you select the Home page, you will be presented with the currently configured Default dashboard. Out of the box, this is the Recommendations dashboard.

With the launch of vRealize Operations, a big change came about in the alerting and troubleshooting side of the solution, mainly in the areas of Content and the alerting framework.

The Recommendations dashboard reflects the importance of Content and the alerting framework. These capabilities come together as follows:

  • Content comes with the Solutions and Management Packs. It is created to provide relevant and actionable alerts, based on the management best practice for the objects being managed by the Solution. It also includes intellectual property from the Content writer – this is from where much of the value of the Solution or the Management Pack can be derived.

  • Alert Content is formed of Symptoms, Recommendations, and Actions Content, and is consumed by the alerting framework to create alerts.
