Introduction to vRealize Infrastructure Navigator

vRealize Infrastructure Navigator is a component of the Advanced and Enterprise Editions of the vRealize Operations Management suite.

The solution enables the administrator to:

  • Discover and map dependencies and relationships between Virtual Machines.

  • Understand the applications that are running on Virtual Machines and the TCP/UDP ports through which they communicate.

  • Group related VMs together, either automatically or manually, to create applications and services that can be managed and visualized as a single entity in vRealize Operations.

  • Determine whether all Virtual Machines in a group are protected by VMware vCenter Site Recovery Manager (SRM) and, if so, whether they are in the same SRM Recovery Group.
