Overview of this book

Citrix® XenApp® is one of the leading pieces of Application delivery software that delivers Windows compatible apps to users on any device, anywhere. Configuring the Citrix® components


In the last section, we went through the steps to install the Citrix components, and in this section, we will spend some time configuring them so that they are ready to use.

Configuring Delivery Controller

As I said, almost all of the setting needs to be configured inside Citrix Studio, so you have to launch Citrix Studio. Following are the steps to configure Delivery Controller:

  1. Launch Citrix Studio by going to Start | Administrative tools | Citrix Studio, and it will offer three options, as shown in the following screenshot:

  2. As this is the first Delivery Controller, we will choose the first option, which is Deliver application and desktops to your users. It will bring up the following screen where we will choose A fully configured, production- ready Site (recommended for new users) and then click on Next:
