Configuring remote assistance


Remote assistance is used when you want to troubleshoot the issues reported by the user. As you are aware that Citrix enables the user to work from anywhere, it is difficult for the administrator to go to user computer to see the issue and know the steps that users are doing.

With the help of Citrix Director, an IT administrator can shadow the user's session as this administrator can quickly connect to the remote user's session and diagnose the issue.

In order to enable this feature, the server hosting the session must have the windows remote desktop assistance feature enabled.

Let's have a look at the steps on how to enable the Windows remote desktop assistance on the XenApp servers. We can enable this feature when we install the VDA:
