Setting up e-mail notifications from workflows


By Chapter 4, Configure Alerts and Notification, you can understand the significance of email notifications for end users. Apart of System Notification application, service-now allows you to configure notification from workflows as well.

Getting ready

To step through this recipe, you should have an active service-now instance, valid credentials, and an admin role.

How to do it...

  1. Open any standard web browser and type the instance address.

  2. Log in to the Service-Now instance using the credentials.

  3. Now, on left hand side in the search box type maintain item and click on Maintain items module under the Service Catalog application to check the workflow which is attached with it catalog item. Let’s suppose, you have opened Apple iPad3 catalog item as shown in following screenshot:
