Starting from ConfigMgr 2007, the server can perform additional tasks to ensure whether the operating system status is correct, if the operating system is compliant with the policies, check the installed software against secure policies, or configure some settings of the operating system.

Compliance Settings have been divided into certain areas:

  • Compliance Settings: Checking out the operating system or installed software compliance and status reporting
  • User Data and Profiles: Managing user data as well as the user profiles
  • Conditional Access: Managing conditional access to platforms such as Exchange and SharePoint
  • Company Resource Access: Managing access to company resources
  • Windows 10 Edition Upgrade: Managing the changing of the SKU for Windows 10
