Identity and Access Management

Identity and Access Management provides the facility to configure authentication and policy-based authorization. You can use AWS IAM services alongside the AWS Management Console, AWS command-line tools, AWS SDKs, and IAM HTTPS API.

With AWS IAM, it is easier to provide administration access and use resources with proper authentication and authorization. One of the most important features that's available is multi-factor authentication. When using multi-factor authentication, you need to provide a special code that's given by a configured virtual or physical device in addition to the required password. This feature makes access to your AWS account extremely secure.
