Troubleshooting OpenStack


In Chapter 3, Exploring OpenStack Private Cloud, we discussed various different services of OpenStack. Each of these services have their own log files and troubleshooting techniques. Hence, we will discuss each OpenStack service separately and explore various troubleshooting techniques for each of them. Let's first begin by discussing some Linux monitoring and troubleshooting tools that are very handy for identifying and fixing OpenStack issues.

Linux troubleshooting and monitoring tools

The Linux operating system offers several native tools that are very useful for troubleshooting problems. The following are a few tools that you must be aware of to quickly identify problems with your OpenStack environment:
