Azure Search

Azure Search is an Azure service that provides a rich search experience over content stored in Azure SQL Database, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure Blob Storage. For Azure Blob Storage, it supports indexing for multiple file formats, such as CSV, JSON, plain text files, RTF, EML, ZIP, XML, HTML, various Microsoft Office formats, and PDF.

It offers full text search and text analysis, linguistic analysis with analyzers in 56 languages, geo-search, user experience features, such as search suggestions, paging, sorting, and hit highlighting, and monitoring and reporting features.

Azure Search uses partitions for storing search indexes and for providing I/O for read/write operations. Azure Search offers different service tiers which can be combined inside a tenant.
