The last set of chapters will help you understand the management of a private and public cloud with PowerShell Core. You will also learn how to access web services and explore the high-performance scripting methods. By the end of this book, you will gain the skills to manage complex tasks effectively along with increasing the performance of your environment.

Provisioning storage in Hyper-V

Like networking, storage in Hyper-V can be managed quite easily. However, this depends highly on your own infrastructure. Do you use iSCSI and have to connect to a portal? Or do you use a Scale-Out File Server (SOFS)? (See the Configure S2D recipe in Chapter 7, Windows Server Administration.)

Regardless of where your virtual disks could come from, this simple recipe shows you how to create new disks and attach them to a VM.
