Understanding Azure Migrate

You can use Azure Migrate to migrate your on-premises environment to Azure. It offers a centralized hub in the Azure portal, which can be used to track the discovery, assessment, and migration of your on-premises infrastructure, applications, and data. It offers the following features:

  • Unified Migration platform: The migration journey can be started, executed, and tracked directly from the Azure portal.
  • Range of tools: Assessments and migrations are offered from the hub in the Azure portal. This is integrated with other Azure services (such as Azure Site Recovery), other tools, and independent software vendor (ISV) offerings.
  • Different workloads: Azure Migrate provides assessments and migration for the following:
