Troubleshooting reported issues

When using OneDrive for Business, a few different troubleshooting scenarios may present themselves. Most issues can be resolved by identifying incompatible files or file types, fixing broken permissions, or updating the sync client.

You can use the procedures in this section to find and fix OneDrive issues.

Invalid file or folder names

OneDrive may show an "invalid file or folder name" error for a few scenarios. As we discussed in Chapter 12, Managing Sync Security, this error may be displayed if a user is attempting to synchronize a file extension that is blocked by administrative control in the tenant.
