Now, our PBX has extensions are configured and registered, and the external lines are configured in the cards as well. We need to make some more configurations in order to make and receive calls from the outside world (PSTN). To make any external (outbound) call from any of our recently configured extensions, we will assign a prefix (a digit dialed before the number we want to call, which is removed by the PBX). In other words, if any user wants to make a phone call to any part of the world (for example, the number 987654321 by using our first E1 trunk), we will assign the prefix 9 to that outbound trunk, so the user would dial 9987654321.
Go to the PBX | PBX Configuration | Outbound Routes menu.
Click on the Add Route link.
Type the name of the route to differentiate it from the others. In this example, we will name this route
